Learn Indonesian—Belajar bahasa Indonesia
«Indonesian Online» is the largest collection of Bahasa Indonesia online courses available. It was originally written by Dr. Kozok, a renowned expert in Indonesian language and culture, along with Dr. George Quinn, and a team of native speakers and experienced instructors. The development of «Indonesian Online» began in 2003 and continues to this day.
In the initial stages of our project in 2003, the dearth of textbooks for learning Bahasa Indonesia, as the language is known in Indonesia, was conspicuous. The existing textbooks, predominantly from the 1970s, were not only outdated linguistically, given the rapid evolution of the Indonesian language, but also in terms of teaching methodology. The limited newer textbooks available were primarily designed for Australian intermediate and high school students and targeted beginners. With «Indonesian Online», there are now five e-learning textbooks catering to beginners, intermediate learners, and even those with advanced proficiency in the language.
